I really don't know what to say for myself except...I am in love! This bread was soooooooo good that I can't hardly contain myself! I just put on a little butter and ate a slice as is and even though it cooks up small this is great size for half sandwiches. Like all my recipes this was kid tested and approved!
1 cup golden flax meal
1 scoop unflavored whey protein
1 TBSP baking powder
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 T. rosemary garlic seasoning (optional)
1/2 C. hot water
4 whole eggs
1/4 olive oil
Mix dry ingredients in one bowl
Mix wet ingredients in second bowl
Combine
Pour into oiled loaf pan
Bake @350 for 30-40 minutes (until toothpic comes out clean)

Why is it called zero carb when the flax seeds have carbs in them?0

Thank you for sharing0 -
Why is it called zero carb when the flax seeds have carbs in them?
because you subtract the fiber from the carb count. then after it is divided into slices there is only a fraction of a carb per slice0 -

Anywhere you can get regular protein powder usually, I order mine off of amazon.0 -

Good to know although with diabetes it does not always work out that way.0 -
thank you! I'm definitely going to try this. Any idea if it would work in a bread machine?0

Actually the ADA set the standard on subtracting fiber. Finer is not broken down into glucose.0 -

sounds yummy.. looks like that "per serving" is per slice? I know some recipes say that 2 slices is one serving... either way I am soooo going to try this one out! We are so carb a holics in my house and carbs are the one thing that all of my doctors agree I cannot have due to hormone issues.0

yes it is per slice, the calories are a little high but I find when you are low carbing your calories tend to be on the low side anyways0 -

For me flax seems to work ok. MIMS don't jack up my BG. Sadly, for diabetics all bets are off and what shouldn't cause a spike does. There are loads of things that I can't eat that most low carbers can. I just eat to my meter and eliminate what spikes.
Thanks for the recipes, it looks yummy.0 -
flax is SO awesome for flour-free baking! I've made muffins like this before but I'll have to try this bread, sounds yummy!0
