exercise calories??

Ok, so I've read on here that it is important to eat all of your exercise calories. I work out only 4-5 days a week during the evening before dinner, but I work out hard...I know I burn at least 400 calories doing cardio alone. However, I eat my normal amount during the day and am usually comfortable. On my work out days, I end up having at least 200-300 calories it says I still need to eat at the end of the day. I feel like I will for sure gain weight if I eat them all!
Is it really that bad if I don't?

I very rarely eat ALL my exercise calories. Listen to your body...if you are hungry, eat; if you aren't hungry then don't force yourself.0

I was from the old school, less you eat faster you lose. Now I have learned that you have to eat at times to lose. But as my Doctor and Dietician says, it still depends on the kinds of foods you eat, as some burn better than others.
I believe in listening to your body also, but some times. I talk behind it's back. :bigsmile:0 -

thanks! that makes me feel better. I'm not going to worry about it too much if I don't feel hungry.0

These threads have some good information about eating the exercise calories. I think if you're within 100-200 calories it's ok not to eat them all; but any more than that might put you into "starvation mode", from what I understand.
