Best Type of Workout Shorts?

I found I run into a few problems when I work out.

-My shorts sag
-My shorts are too heavy
-My shorts are to constricting during certain exercises, and inhibit my mobility
-My shorts have big leg holes, and I'm afraid of flashing people shots of my undies

Can people/ women recommend the best type of shorts I could buy which will keep me from running into these problems?

I have a varied workout. I do Insanity, P90X, MMA, Running, and weights. This means I do a lot of high impact exercises, and a lot of exercises that require flexibility.

    Hi there -

I wear bike shorts for all my exercising - kickboxing, zumba, running, weights, etc.

I have three different kinds (Fila, Tek Gear and Danskin) all of which I bought at Kohls. Of the three, the Tek Gear fit the snuggest, the Danskin are my least favorite because they feel the least "breatheable", the Fila are my current favorites. The bike shorts are:

    - Snug enough that they don't sag and I don't flash my undies at anyone

    - Long enough (mid thigh) that I'm not self concious about my upper thighs, but not too long that they're annoying (like the knee length or capri style)

    - Stretchy enough that I can kickbox without restriction.

    - Lightweight so they don't weigh me down.

    Good luck!
    Carol

I like some of the ones that Athleta makes. They are somewhat snug (so as to not show the undies!), but aren't as snug as bike shorts. I've had a lot of luck picking shorts that are made for yoga, even though I wear them for other things - they tend to have flexibility without revealing too much since they are made for all sorts of movements. Here's one of the Athleta pairs that I like:

There's another one called Bettona that has some jeans-like styling and is pretty cute!

Lululemon are my fave, I wear them for turbo fire, jogging, yoga and will never wear anything else!
