NSV?? "Mama, your neck is getting boney"

My daughter said this to me this morning as I was sending her off to the school bus. She gave me a hug like she does every morning but because I stooped down to her height this morning she put her chin on my shoulder. I just smiled and sent her on her way. As soon as she was on the bus I went (two steps at a time) up to the bathroom mirror and checked it out and sure enough there were my collar bones with nice little indentions toward the tops of my shoulders. I hadn't even noticed that they had made an appearance but now running my fingers around the base of my neck I can surely feel the difference too.

Now, since I'm still weighing in at 168 pounds, I'm by no means turning into Skelator and don't intend to. Being able to actually SEE results in the shape of my body totally beats watching the number on the scale and definitely gave me some additional motivation to go on getting my butt kicked by Jillian Michaels in my basement every night.

    Congratulations! That is adorable.

I just noticed that I had collarbones again about a week ago, and this week was admiring my own shoulders while I was walking on an off c25k day. At just under 200 lbs still, I'm certainly not melting away, but seeing my own shoulder and not a puffy bump was pretty awesome.

Here's to many more fantastic body transformations for you, and little observations from your daughter to make it all the better.

Honest to goodness, geekdom and loving 80s cartoons are a part of my everyday life with my friends. It didn't even register as anything out of the ordinary. Actually, one of my friends is nicknamed Skeletor. He is quite dried out and underweight - totally not healthy, drinks coffee like it was air and smokes like a chimney. One of his other nicknames is Mumm-Ra.

    Congratulations again!
