Freezing sandwiches for lunch

Does anyone freeze sandwiches? I am getting sick of making two every night and wondering if they will be gross or not.. I usually toast the bread anyway. And if you do, is there anything like condiments that you should not freeze? How do you wrap them up?
Thanks
Thanks

My kids freeze their sandwiches from time to time. They freeze cheese & marmite sandwiches and they've just fine : )
They put them in a ziplock bag.
You don't want to freeze stuff like lettuce or tomato, it'll just turn to much on thawing.
But if you're toasting/grilling them, then it should be fine!
Not too sure about condiments - but I think mayonnaise might separate.0 -
Tried it once, was gross and mushy after it thawed. What about making different things for lunch so you aren't always making sandwiches? Easy lunches would be to freeze leftovers from dinners of just make extra for the next day.0

Yuck! My mom used to do this when I was little and it was NASTY (sorry mom- who is also on MFP...). I'm sure there is some way to make them not soggy but in my experience, that's how they turn out. Check out my blog for other speedy ideas though. http://freshfitnfabulous.blogspot.com/0

As long as you don't use any condiments I've successfully frozen whole loaves of bread-cheese-meat-bread sandwiches. Obviously vegetables such as lettuce does not freeze well, also condiments just make things soggy. Individually wrap each one in sandwich bags before freezing.0
