HRM

I am in the market for a HRM but not sure what to get. I don't want to spend a great deal of money but I do want something that will accurately track my calories burn. I plan on starting Zumba this weekend and don't put much faith in the exercise database on MPF. Since I sweat a lot I probably should get something that is waterproof. Any suggestions?

Heart rate Monitor! tracks your hr and calories burned while working out..most are very accurate.0 -
I am absolutely LOST without mine! HRMs allow you to monitor how hard you're working and the calories burned. Models with chest straps are more accurate. They don't have to be super expensive to get the job done.
I have had several different models over the years - Oregon Scientific for running (that was really complicated and didn't work that well), Timex (that lost connection with the heart strap, received a new one and didn't work), Polar FT7 (stopped working after the batteries were changed). Sportline Solo (stopped working after battery change).
I know have a Polar FT4 (with an extended warranty). It's been working just fine0 -
Thank you!0
