Not sure what "Activity Level" to put

I'm not sure if my level of activity would be considered "heavy exercise" or "daily exercise" on this TDEE calculator http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html

I'm planning on doing approximately 20-40 minutes of crossfit early mornings, then after about a 30-40 rest I would be doing another 30 minutes or so of cardio, preferably swimming, but biking or running if my pool is closed down. Then I will be incorporating weight lifting in the afternoons. I will be working out one muscle group a day, starting with back, then chest, legs, arms, and lastly shoulders. This will be done mon-frid, and if anything gets cut it would probably be the crossfit in the morning followed by the cardio.

I'm in the military so I have to work around an odd schedule, which is why the workout is so spaced out. Also if anyone has any critiques on the plan please let me know :)

That sounds like a pretty heavy workout to me. I think "daily workout" means an hour or so a day.
  • The only thing is the "daily workout" uses more calories than the "heavy workout"

maybe start on the calories for 'heavy', and if you are losing faster than you should then icrease to 'daily'. I guess being in the military you are pretty active at work as well as the exercise!

the "Daily exercise" options says exercising 7 days/week *and* working a physical job

"Heavy exercise (ex: exercising 6-7 days/week)" - presumably without a physical job.

It's just a set of options of increasing calories from 2000 to 3200 so take your pick ;-)
