Question about protein

I noticed a pattern the other night when I was going through my diary. I go over in my protein very often. Is this a bad thing? My mom keeps telling me it's not a big deal, but I keep thinking the limit is there for a reason. Is this a habit I should make an effort to avoid?

Protein intake isn't really high unless u take in 3x weight in grams pretty much. Look at my diary, i take in 300ish grams a day.

My Personal Trainer encourages me to eat more protein on the time. Its better to go over on your protein than carbs.

Not necessarily, if ur gonna be lifting heavy that day i would increase carbs and take a bit away from proteins. Carbs fuel your workouts and restore glycogen in the muscles and liver.

As long as your total calories for the day is at the level you want then don't worry about it

For general fat loss worrying about the total calories is more important

MFP sets protein fairly low (15%) so dont worry if you go over. i try and get 100g per day.
