Which HRM?

I would like to buy a heart rate monitor but I don't know which one. I'm *hoping* to spend £40 or less (less, if possible) so does anyone have experience with lower priced but good value for money HRMs?

    Sorry, not up on UK pricing but the Polar FT series are popular (FT4 & FT7) models. I have an FT40 which has served me well (and has since been appropriated by my son as I use my Garmin Forerunner GPS when running - it tracks distance, pace etc)

    I have the Polar FT40. But, the Polar FT4 and FT 7 are also excellent

    I can get the Polar FT4 for about £55 and the FT7 for about £64 from Amazon. I might just have to bite the bullet and pay a bit more.
