I originally got on MFP about 4 months ago to help keep up with my sisters and motivate each other for a 5k we are running( next weekend)! Needless to say, I'm the only one who logs in regularly. Sooooo, long story short, looking for other MFP friends to keep up with, motivate and encourage. I have only recently discovered the MFP community and would love some other similar-minded friends!
I'm 32, military wife, former ICU nurse, and mother of 3 kiddos (3, 5, &7). We have used EVERY excuse in the books why exercise or proper diet did not fit our lifestyle, but have surrendered to wanting the best for ourselves and our children. It's actually been a lot easier than I expected. My husband is trying to lose about 20 more pounds (he's lost 10 already) and we are finishing week 6 of Insanity. We've done P90x, running, and now Insanity. I just want exercise to be a regular part of our life and for the past 4 months, it has gotten there. Our diet is always improving and I love getting tips and recipes
We aren't afraid to have a little birthday cake every now and then with family or friends, though, just once in a blue moon now versus every other weekend, lol.
