Finished my first 5K this morning at 33:44. Pretty proud of myself and pretty tired.

That is so terrific!! Great work! That is way faster than the first time I "ran" one - ran in quotes because I couldn't run the whole time on the first one. You should be really proud!

Thanks for the support. Turns out I finished 6th in my age group so that makes me feel great! However I have a funny feeling of let down, almost like I am sad that the race is over. I have heard about this before, post event letdown, but never thought that I would feel this way myself. Hope it passes quickly. Any suggestions? I think that my plan is to focus on getting stronger and thinner for Disney in 4 weeks. And then we are moving to a new town in June, hope I can keep my training up during that time, and not get too distracted.

Sign up for another 5k! That way you have something to work towards.

Way to go! I also ran my very first 5k this morning also. Not quite sure what my time was, as I forgot to turn my Nike GPS tracker off afterwards. Can't wait to receive my official time from the event, and can't wait to run my next 5k event!
