I have been sidelined due to an injury that is starting to heal with corrective footwear. Due to a sedentary job and lack of practice I have piled on the pounds and am finally starting to lose (10 pounds since I started). I would love to add fellow aikidoka as friends to help be supportive of each other. Other than family and work, aikido has long been my passion and I miss it and want to practice regularly again.

Best to all, Rachel

Whoa!! Aikido! I have never done it, but my father is a blackbelt, 2dan I think, or further up I can't remember. I remember him practicing it for a good decade or so when I was a kid..But he really did a number on his knees poor guy, so he had to call it quits. Still a total health nut, and has frequent reunions with his senseis and friends in Japan. =) Don't give up though!! I told him about MFP and he seemed intrigued so if he signs up I will tell him to look at your post. Good luck lady!
