I feel like I found the Holy Grail

I have struggled with my weight my whole life but have managed to keep it in check by exercising. I have been finding it more and more difficult to stay in shape and last year I was forced to take a break from the gym because of a new job I accepted for about 9 months. I am working out again and not loosing any weight so I went to my doctor and he said its simple, you are eating like you did when you were 29 and now your 49. He said there is no magic bullet; you need to eat less and workout more, count your calories

I thought well that is easier said than done. How the hell can I count calories for all the things I am eating? Well this website is the answer and I could not be more enthusiastic about it. I immediately shared it with all of my employees and my friends. This website is a godsend and I want to thank who ever started this from the bottom of my heart. I lost 7 1/2 pounds last week alone. I know this is a lot for the first week but I also fasted for the first two days of the week to shock my system. The best thing for me is I am not sacrificing anything, I feel completely satisfied and i have a goal, not only daily but a goal for each meal.

My son is starting to weigh a little more as he enters the workplace and I shared this website with him as well and he started immediately. I am a myfitnesspal fanatic and I finally feel like I am really in control. I am excited to see what happens the upcoming year!

Welcome aboard and good luck on your weight loss journey
  • I feel the same way as you! I, too, found this website and have been on it since the end of June! I have lost about half of the weight I want to loose. I teach high school and when my students have noticed and said how good I look I know that it's working! I have also shared the site with friends, family, and co-workers...Thank you so much, myfitnesspal...but now I can really say that you are mylifepal. You've taught me how to eat and exercise!

Hi. This site has been a miracle for me too. I know I wouldn't be sticking it out without the help of MFP. Not to mention all of the info. I've learned since being here. All of my life a diet meant 1200 calories + exercise- and definitely no eating those calories back. No wonder diets fail!
