I have put on 10 kg since i gave up smoking 6 months ago. I was already overweight but now i'm much bigger.
I'm uncomfortable and unhappy. I found the motivation to stop smoking (Miracle(. I can't find it again
to loose weight. The more i hate myself the more i eat. Help.

Im still battling to kick the habbit, so AWESOME THAT YOU DID IT! I stopped feeling bad the moment i signed up for MFP. Everyone was so positive and encouraging that i made so many drastic changes for the better. If I were you, go shopping, get a haircut, get a pedicure/ manicure, do something that makes you happy! you honestly cant start losing weight if you feel this way.
If that doesn't work, target your unhappiness as the reason to get up and do something about it! Heres a scenario:

me: D*mn you FOOD! Look at what youve done to me! I'm gonna kick the living fat cells out of you!

I try to psych myself up every morning, I say to myself " Self, Im gonna skip the escalators, take the long way to the restroom from work, and Im gonna LOVE ignoring junkfood all day"

... so start with being happy... Happy that you'r making another choice to help yourself!

Make one change today - just one, whether it's walking a little farther, a healthier lunch, a less heavy late night snack, more water than usual, whatever. If you can make one small change today it won't seem as daunting to start making other small changes when the time comes. I have a food and fitness journal and give myself stickers for drinking all my water, getting some exercise (I include stretching as an exercise if I don't go to the gym) and for a non-scale victory (someone complimented me at working hard during a zumba class). I find it rewarding and encouraging. One small step at a time and in time you'll find you've conquered more than you ever thought you could.

it is hard we all know its hard. I use to smoke a few years ago and when I did it was so much easier to loose wt. But we all know how bad smoking is for us. I can't even workout because of my back issue. I use to workout all the time 7 days a week but once I hurt my back my doc told me to stop I actually need surgery but holding off cause my pain isn't that bad. So all I'm doing is staying under my calories and I would be lying if I said I ate healthy cause I know I don't but I am still loosing weight I'm actually loosing more weight then I was working out which is weird. I use to eat healthy when I worked out but when I stopped working out I lost faith and now eat what I want but stay under. Its not easy staying under this I definitely know becuase I still go over some days but it is doable. You can do it you just need to make the decision to do it and stick to it. I need to make the choice to eat healthy I just haven't yet. I'm actually gonna try on monday fingers crossed though. Good luck with your weight loss though

Anyone can add me as a friend the more people the more motivation I log everyday no matter what I eat.
