My name is Alex. I just heard about this site from a friend and thought that it was worth a shot. I am a 21 year old wife and student and have decided it was time to live a healthier lifestyle. Any pointers?

  • Be diligent with your food journal. You could make it public too, if you are BRAVE!! (I'm not that brave though:blushing: )
WELCOME TO THIS AWESOME SITE!! If you use it and log all your food in, you CAN DO IT! Also, don't forget to log in your exercise, you get to eat more if you do, which is always good

Welcome!! :flowerforyou: My best advice is to plan and log all of your food and exercise in advance. I try to plan my day the night before. That way, everything I eat and all of my exercise just becomes part of my schedule. I'm much less likely to cheat if I've already planned. I know this may not work for everyone, but it's really helped me to stay on track. Good luck :drinker:
  • hi there! ditto the planning ahead the night before thing....that's what works for me, and it really doesn't take too long once you get used to it. i find that making a couple of dishes on sunday and portioning them out to freeze is a big help.

good luck - you can do it!

Welcome! You definately chose the best site to come to! I've found this site more helpful than any of the others I've ever used. Like others said, to succeed just make sure you keep yourself accountable and use the journals and logs on the site. I'm almost 21 myself (a month from today) and I'm a student, too! I wish you much success in your journey.. you can do it!
  • So I have completely ignored this site for forever. I did continue to exercise and eat right though and lost 8 lbs. I ended up getting hurt and had back surgery so I have been off of the exercise routine for 6 months now and I gained everything back. I am ready to get back in the game! This is my first week back so wish me luck!

Good luck - keep us posted on your progress..
