I started the Advocare 24 Day challenge today. In the last year, I have lost a little over 40 pounds, but have plateaued lately.
I am hoping this will jump start me toward more progress.
Are there any major things I need to consider or be worried about?
If you have tried this in the past, what were your results?
Really looking for any exra information about the program!
Thanks in advance!

waste of money IMO, can get the same results just eating right and exercising. In fact, I did... plus "cleansing" is a scam
  • My theory is eating healthy should remove any reason to do cleanses, detoxes, use supplements, or shakes.
However, if you are enjoying it and seeing results then good luck to you and never let anyone step in your way to achieving your goals!

I just finished the 10 day Advocare Cleanse and I did not find it beneficial at all. My system was very messed up, especially during the days with the fiber drink. TMI but the added fiber did not have the desired effects on my system - my MBs were few and far between over the 10 days. I consumed all the right things, had a few cheats (I'd say I was 90% on board) and ultimately, I lost an inch, but I gained two pounds. After hearing such great success stories I was very excited about giving it a try and had high hopes that it was the right thing to get me off my plateau but it wasn't what I needed. Now that I'm back to "real life" eating, tracking and working out, I'm down a lb. I wish you success but I'd caution you to listen to your body. I wish that I would have bailed at day 4 but I didn't.

Markymark1980, Thats not true for everybody. I have tried eating clean and exercising, with the help of a trainer and no weight loss or inches lost.

At Nicki108... I totally understand. Some people need something different or alternative tactics in fitness and nutrition to get it going but...."cleansin/detox" diets are definitely scams that are not based on any REAL scientific/nutritional science. Our bodies have highly sophisticated evolved organ systems dedicated to cleansing our bodies and any "special ingredients" or supplements will do almost nothing to improve these processes but just produce an expensive Urine stream
  • I am actually on my 10th day of the " cleanse phase" of the 24 day challenge. I was not going to weigh in until tomorrow when I start the "burn/refuel" part of the 24 day challenge, but I can say that I feel GREAT! I can tell that I am losing inches so I am anxious to see my results. Why I agree that eating right and excercise will definitely help you to lose weight, if you could take a supplement that will help acheive better results than diet & exercise alone , that is manufactured, recommened and supported by many doctors and, endorsed by pro athletes all over the world (obviously for a reason) then why not "invest" in Advocare products.

But like I said I just started this, but couldnt be more excited about how I feel. For the first time in a very long time I am extremely motivated, nothing is stopping me now!!

If you decide to do it please post your results! Best of luck!
