Scale is driving me nuts...

Hi. I have been on here for a week and have lost 3 lbs. I have been logging everything I do and eat. I am loving it so far. Inches are dropping but the scale is stuck at 3 lbs. I will never understand how you can lose inches without losing pounds. I feel great and love this website.

Someone help me to stay off the scale. LOL. How often should I weigh in???

Replies

  • I only weigh once a week so I am not nuts about it. But....I did not even lose 1 lb last week. I try to do it first thing in the morning on Friday or Saturday.
  • I weigh myself everyday, or everyother day but just for curiosity. I often gain weight but do not let it affect my thoughts on my progress b/c I always lose inches. Since the scale bothers you I would weigh in weekly or even monthly.

Stop stop stop weighing yourself so much. I don't own a scale ever ever. Go by the fit of my clots and how I feel physically and mentally.

My problem is I see it and I jump on it.. LOL. I have awesome will power when it comes to food and eating right. But put me in front of a scale and Im on it.
  • My scale weighs me differently every day. I seem to gain and lose six pounds at a time lol. But my pants are starting to almost fall off so I try not to worry too much about what scale says. I blame it on the phases of the moon lol.

Oh, don't be upset, though I know you feel like it :P

I have lost about 11 pounds in the first three weeks and then bam! nothing in the forth. just 0.2 kilos, which I can't even consider... So, I don't know, the body does it's own things, doesn't mean it;s gonna stop losing weight.
Keep working out more, eat enough, eat metabolism boosting aliments and don't weight in for another week. You'll do better next time! I know I will, or else I'm gonna kick some scale *kitten* :))

I Only weigh in the morning before breakfast after the bathroom. And no more after that. Never during TOM.

I would not be too concerned about a daily drop (I get on the scale numerous times per day but I know what is happening so I don't let it get to me). My loss has not followed anything daily loss pattern but overall it has progressed (with some slow patches).

I wait at least a month between weighing. But I'm not expecting to lose much this time because I've gotten a lot stronger and have hopefully put on some muscle weight!

Thank You everyone for your support. I am going to try to only weigh once a week and see how that works for me. Hopefully I see some positive results.

Hahahahahaha This is me also. I step on my scale like twice a day. I see a difference when I look in the mirror, but not on the scale

jump on the scale as much as you want, but what I do is create a list, journal, etc and weigh in every week same time same place.

I have my "official" weigh ins on Friday mornings.
