Someone finally noticed

I was out with some friends tonight and sitting beside someone i hadn't seen since December. She very discreetly leaned in and said "You've lost a lot of weight, haven't you?"

She asked a few questions about it, very nicely. I sort of want people to notice but sort of prefer to think no one has ever noticed before that i am obese so sort of don't want them to say anything. But she was great, just asked a few questions, and i said, "i'm having a moment here. You're the first person who's noticed!"

How exciting! I felt great!

    The first person to notice was a guy friend of mine (blush). Was extra nice, because a lot of my friends KNOW I'm trying and I had lost 10 lbs (so half of my goal) and nobody cared to say anything. Hadn't seen him in a while and when I got out of the car it was the first thing out of his mouth.

    Feels so good, doesn't it ;))

    I love how your friend didn't blurt it out. I wasn't mad at my friend because I know I'm not "obese", I'm just trying to shape up.
