As a student, I often don't have a lot of spare cash to spend on food.
At the moment I'm aiming for approximately 1500 calories a day, but i'm struggling for inspiration on what to eat as i'm very very quickly getting bored of salads....

Does anyone have any recipies they would recommend that are low in calorie but filling? (and preferably cheap!)

  • I would suggest looking at Skinnytaste.com

It has a lot of great recipes that are healthy from there.

Bags of frozen chicken breast tenders aren't that expensive. They're convenient because they have a longer "shelf life", can be cooked in advance and eaten throughout the week in different recipes/meals, and are a low calorie source of protein. Watch for sales on fresh fruits/veggies, comparing store prices. Try to buy things that are versatile and can be used many different ways. =)
