Halfway to (weight) goal and a fun pic

Here is a comparison photo from Fall 2011 softball to this past Sunday, the first game of Spring 2012 ball. I assume I am around my starting weight of 190 in the first pic but I didn't have a scale. I tried to pose the same way from memory, funny that I would stand opposite, but whatever.
The first half of my weight came off fast, I started dieting Jan 29th and added exercise on Feb 22nd. Before using this site I had fallen into a pattern of little to no exercise and eating at least 5 fast food meals per week. I was also drinking soda heavily. Calorie counting is really working for me. I don't feel 'halfway there' because I am really into lifting now. I love what it is doing for my body and I can't wait to see more results. Thanks for looking!

You look great!
Mind if I ask you a few questions? I started around the same weight as you, lost about half of my goal weight and now am hitting a few bumps on the weight loss road.
How much do you weigh now? What work out regimen are you on?
You said that you drank a lot of soda...was it diet or regular? Just curious since I love my carbonated drinks and have coke zero addiction. I am thinking that if I cut out the soda from my life, then I might just loose more weight if I stick with water.
Thanks!0 -

Cut the soda! At least that's what my dr. told me to do, I've done it, and I feel much better for it. I used to have a diet dr. pepper habit. I would drink about three or four a day. On top of that, I would drink tea. Now, I drink water. Lots of water.0 -
You look so awesome Jenny! All your hard work is paying off!0

Yes! Cut the soda. It can increase your appetite and your kidneys don't need all that. I lost like 25 pounds another time and the only thing I felt I changed was quitting diet soda that time. My workouts have been 5 days most weeks since Feb 22. In mid march my husband taught me to focus on a muscle group per workout. So I get cardio in that I eat back (yum) then ie yesterday was shoulders. So I do like 50 reps on overhead press then 100 on cable then 100 free weights. All in sets of 10. So really focus. Tonight is biceps so like 50 on curl machine then 50 straight bar 50 curly bar. I stretch really good too and try out different machines when I can. Oh and I weigh 162 right now0
