Gimme whatcha got!

I am in dire need of some motivation. I've lost my will power! I'm doing this alone again, I can't seem to find the time to exercise, and I am getting really down on myself. I need something, anything, to hit me and get me going again. Last time I stumbled across a picture of a woman who had posted her results from the 30 Day Shred and I lost 35 pounds and many inches (I forget how many exactly). Somewhere along the way, I've lost my workout partner, along with that urge to work out and diet. Now I need your help.
I'm open to anything: pictures, quotes, life stories, whatever...
So like I said, gimme whatcha got!

You should work out for you (and not depend on others) ... I stopped working out with others because every time they didn't show up I would find myself putting my workout off. Make a board with all the goals you want to achieve and post notes everywhere to remind yourself daily of your original goal. Also put up a picture or a reminder of yourself at your lowest point and say to yourself if I don't work towards my goal I'll end up there again....
These are the things that I have used to motivate me ... Hope it helps!0 -
I agree with tripn404! I had to Learn this journey is about Me!0

The best, and really only motivation is yourself. You are worth it, your long term happiness is worth fighting through the short term struggle. Every time you tell yourself you don't want to exercise, or you want to eat the stuff you know you really shouldn't, ask yourself "Do I want to change my life?".
I've been doing this alone since I started, and I've just tried to embrace my inner Amazon woman. Finding my strength fuels me to keep going.
Just one foot in front of the other, sweetie. Fight through this, and impress yourself!0 -
I know how you feel! Until recently I had been feeling the same way. What got me was a visit to my doctors. She did an exam on me and we found out that there is some stuff going on with my body an the main way to fix it all=Weightloss! Maybe a doctor visit is what you need.
Spend as much time as you can researching a healthy lifestyle (literally make this something you are constantly thinking about).
Make small goals. Whether it is 5 pounds by May 20th or to fit into a certain top or dress by the end of next month. The smaller goals will help you get to the big goal.
Hope this is helpful:)0 -
I was getting to where I was resenting working out. It became a chore. Eating right? Well, why can't I have that ________? Everyone else is eating it. Full of justification on skipping exercising and not eating the best I could, at least I thought. I was only hurting myself. I don't want to be unhealthy and unfit like everyone else.
Now I can't work out. Haven't been able to for 3 weeks. I am seeing how much I missed it and how good it made me feel. Now I feel like a slug. I am eating healthy so that helps and only a couple more weeks and I will have the okay to workout hard again.
Do this for YOU!! You are worth it and you will feel so much better. Start off with just going for a walk. It all counts. Keep the garbage out of your house so you aren't tempted. You can do this!!

Thank you everyone. I know I need to do this for me. I guess I need to find a goal to work toward to, but it's just hard to do right when your significant other isn't as motivated as you and that is the person you are around the most.0

Register for a race. That's what keeps me going. Find a 5K and just sign up. You will be forced to get ready for it. Better yet, sign up for one 6 hours away and book your hotel room now, pay in advance. Money is a great motivator. LOL.
I couldn't run more than 3 miles and signed up for a Half Marathon (5 months ago) for this reason. It is honestly 6 hours from my home. I paid my race registration, booked a hotel room and started preparing for it. Ive been training ever since and doing GREAT. My race is this Saturday!
Screw everyone else. This is for YOU. You either want it... or you don't.0
