Hello all. One of my friends has been talking non-stop about this place so I decided to come check it out.
A little about myself. I'm a 32 year old father of 2. I live in central PA. I am a former athlete. I played football all my life until I was about 27. My body couldn't handle it anymore. At 30 I was diagnosed with diabetes and high cholesterol. I wouldn't call myself obese. When I was diagnosed, I was up to about the 190 pound range. In the months to follow I got myself down to about 170. After some great news from my doctor about my numbers, I sort of went back to my old habits of not eating well and not exercising. I shot back up to close to 190 again. After my most recent encounter with the doctor, I realized I needed to get back to it. For about 2 weeks now I've been doing the UFC Personal Trainer on the Kinect (Xbox 360). I am now down to 177. My goal weight is 165.
Although I seem to do OK on my own, I thought this place would be good for me. I can read other peoples success stories and get some motivation to keep me moving and stay healthy.
I look forward to getting to know all of you.
