Pregnancy and MFP

Hi, I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and my dr and I have discussed following a low carb diet for me since I had gestational diabetes with my 2nd baby. I would like to continue to use MFP if possible while pregnant, not to necessarily lose weight but to maintain or not gain a lot. Just wondering if anyone has been in the same boat and how they used the site to their advantage or other suggestions. I want to go about it in an easy way to get used to the low carb diet again, but had been using MFP prior to pregnancy and doing really well on it, mostly looking at calories and eating healthy, but now I actually have to look at the total carbs/fats/ and somewhat the protein with my foods. Any suggestions would be great. I did adjust my weight in MFP to my current pregnancy weight, or should I have kept it at my pre-pregnancy weight??

hi! I'm almost 14 weeks and have been using MFP for over a year now and have used it to lose weight, maintain and still using it while pregnant! Obviously I'm not trying to lose anymore but I still need that control of seeing what I eat and how many calories I'm consuming. As my weight goes up, I put that in and set it at maintenance but not really paying attention as to the stats at the bottom when you complete your day and how much you'd weight if you ate that way every day in so many weeks. Also if you search the database they have an entry for first trimester (which gives you an extra 100 calories) and they even have an entry for breasfeeding which I will use if I can breastfeed. I know in teh first and second trimester you only need an extra 100-200 calories and I've managed to keep mine less than 1,500 and usually average around 1,300. Hope this helps.0
