does anyone else have trouble eating after workout out? i worked out a lot today and burned about 1000 calories... i ate both lunch and breakfast and have about 400 calories for dinner left to reach my 1200+ calories... but now that ive worked out i have another 1000 to eat... and im not even hungry to eat 400... so what should i do force myself to eat or try to drink my calories?

You don't have to wait to workout eat the extra calories unless there is a chance you won't get the workout in.
Also, I often notice that people who have a hard time getting all their calories also tend to choose low calorie versions of foods. If that's not the case, add in some calorie dense foods like nuts and nut butters, olive oil, avocado, etc. They help add in calories without eating a ton of extra food.

Edit - no, I never have trouble getting all my calories in :)

Do you have a heart rate Monitor to track how many calories you are burning? If not you may want to invest in one so that you are getting an accurate read out of your calories burned. If your not hungry chances are you 1. are not burning as many calories as you think. 2. May be underestimating your foods. 3. Made your body used to less food and slowed your metabolism.

this has been an on going problem for me growing up... i have been playing softball since i was 4 and played travelball since age 9... i have had trainers that pushed me so hard that i would throw up because it was so intense.. ever since then i watch what i eat before a workout (Because if i push myself it upchucks) and when i push myself to much i lose my appetite... its not that im hungry its because im sick to my stomach from working out... and i was at a point in my adult age that i would eat only one meal a day... so now im pushing myself to eat atleast 3 times aday but its really hard for me when i workout

Well if you're having trouble reaching your calorie goal you could just add something like a protein shake for after your workout.

I'm just going to add to this that you don't have to just balance your calories on a daily basis - so if you have too many calories to eat on days that you do exercise, you can roll them over to days when you don't where you might have too few. As long as you average out on target over the course of the week you'll be fine.
