A question for you well-endowed ladies

Random question here. So I've been at this whole weight loss thing for a few months now. And happily making progress. Mostly. Except for in one area. My bust! It is shrinking, but maybe not as much as I would like. :P
Starting size: 36H/38G (clothing: 18-20)
Current 34H/36HH
So I will be completely honest...my fear is when I get to goal, I'll have a super rare band size like 28 or 30. Which I know is downright impossible to find bras in. 32, 34 it is pretty easy. Even in the larger cups. There is a pretty decent selection.
For reference, I have another ~60 pounds (or about 4-5 dress sizes) to go until I get to my goal. My short term goal is to wear a 12-14 by June, and I am in the 16-18 range. Ultimate goal is 8-10. Last time I was 12-14, I was absolutely not wearing the proper bra size, so I don't have a good gauge (I thought I wore a 40DD then). My only gauge is my little sister. We have pretty similar body types. When she was a 12-14, she was a 32 band. If I continue along this pattern: every size to size and a half down equals ~1 band so size 8-10 = 30 band! And hopefully I keep losing cups, because it would just be ridiculous otherwise.
So here is my question, how much did your bra size change (for those of you who lost 50+ pounds). A lot. A little. Did it stabilize somewhere, even though you weren't at goal?

Before I lost weight I was at a 36 band. After losing 65 pounds I'm now at a 32. I think that with 60 pounds left to go you will def be losing alot more and it will stablize for you Hope this helps!0

I have lost 75lbs I went from a 40 g to a 38 g lol there here to stay!!0

I'm at the 50 lb. mark. I went from a 42G or 42H to a 38E or 38F (occasionally a 40 band in some brands).
My favorite brand right now is Elomi. Pretty and come in really large cup sizes! I've always had to mail order my bras anyway.0 -

Elomi bras hate me. Too full cup. I am into Panache and Freya at the moment. Can't wait to try Curvy Kate! Oh what losers. They actually decrease the cup options as you go up in the band in some styles.

I am going to order one of these next, if I can find a cheap price. (Bare Necessities is charging $60-70 a bra)0 -
I haven't lost my weight yet, but I can tell you from gaining that when I had a 28 band, I was a size 2 in high school and a A/B cup.
I think that as I've aged, my ribcage itself probably expanded a bit. When I was at my best weight for my height (around 160lbs), I was in a 34C or D. At 240 lbs, I am a 38E. So the cup size has changed much more than the band size.0 -
I have some Panache too, but the band size seems inconsistent among the styles. I have two brand new ones in a 38E that are too small, when two other 38E styles fit fine.0

So true. It seems to depend on the material in the band. I always need to try those on. Freya, not so much. They fit really consistently. I like Fantasie, but it stretches out way too fast. Chantelle is cut too shallow in the cups for me, and usually stops at G. They are also a little bigger in the band. So I think a Chantelle 36F is more like a 34F. So I don't bother with that one.0 -
Down 63 lbs and bra was a 40DDD, now a 38DDD. So not much change for me!0

When I graduated elementary school at 89 pounds I was already a full C cup, but even at the size/age/weight I was never less than a 28 band. As an adult my weight has ranged from the high 120's to 226 at my heaviest and my bra sizes from a 34D to 42FF. I sincerely doubt that even when I make it to my goal of the mid 130's that my band size will go below a 34 or possibly 32.
As far as quality, size availablity & price are concerned, Frederick's of Hollywood is top dog in my eyes. I started buying my bras there about 12 years ago and have never bought another elsewhere since. I love everything about every bra I've ever bought there, but even more I love that they measure me every single time I go in so I am guaranteed the best fit no matter how my weight or size has fluctuated.
My band size was the very first place I noticed a difference with my recent weight loss and I have now officially gotten to the point where I can no longer tighten the band or straps any further to make it a passable fit. I have a shopping trip planned for this weekend & I can't wait to see what pretty new styles they have in and what my new size is!0 -
I lost 30 ish pounds a few years ago and went from a 36C to a 32DD. I lost on the band size but not the cups. It can be hard to find some of those larger cup size bra's (no since in even trying Victoria's Secret). I found a great brand called Parfait that offers awesome support but are still fun and sexy. If you google it you can find some great websites that sell them.0

I'm in the Fantasie myself (Freya for sports bras - LOVE them) and a 34FF. When I lost weight before to get to the size I'm in now, my band size was all that really changed.. Some girls just have the goods, I guess. I buy a lot of my bras on ebay and they are shipped over here really quickly from the UK, so I'd think even with a more rare band size, you shouldn't have trouble finding them.
What I'm more worried about are dresses. I already struggle to find a dress that is cut in a way that fits my chest and isn't huge on the waist or doesn't try to give me 'quad-boob'. If I lose 20lbs more, I might have to visit a tailor to get dresses properly sized!0 -

I am 1-2 cups too big for Fredericks. :P
It is pretty much Nordstrom or bust If I need to go to the mall, or I got to Figleaves.com, Bravissimo.com or Bare Necessities and recently Very.com0
