Nothing is off limits, but I seldom have:

    cinnamon rolls
    fried chicken
    desserts at a restaurant.

BTW, all you brussel sprout haters, you probably have been victim of boiled overcooked sprouts. Consider giving them a second chance. I used to hate them, but then my mom tried steaming them, and added a little shredded parmesan on them. YUM!!

I do them in the microwave and add the cheese for the last 10-15 secs, and they are one of my favs--in fact, I am having them tonight.

I don't believe anyone should have to deprive themselves of their favorite foods, but these are foods that I either eat in small moderation, or very infrequently that I used to eat much more often:

 Coffee Coolatas from Dunkin Donuts
    :drinker: Margaritas
 Friendly's Reese's Peanut Butter cup sundae
 Chinese food- chicken lo mein
    Chili's fajitas

There really hasn't been anything that I have completely given up, but I have limit a couple of things. I think that everything is okay if you eat it in moderation. I use to drink Mt. Dew all the time. I have learned that I can still have my favorite drink if I just cut back to one can a day and the rest of the time I have water/tea.
    Soda
    Fried foods
    cookies

I forgot to add sweet tea. I haven't had it since I started my journey in June. I miss it :( but I just hate to drink my calories!
  • 1) White Rice/White Bread
    2) Sweetened Drinks
    3) Restaurant Food like from any fast food chains (except the good and expensive stuff every once in a while)

Btw brussel sprouts are really good if you don't overcook them.
  • Any bread product that isn't whole wheat.
Anything from McDonald's (used to have burgers/fries a couple times a week with my son)
    Anything else deep fried.
  • sweets
sodas (i only drank diet, but those too are gone!)
    fried foods

I don't eat candy anymore. Staying away from chocolate for now as it causes me to crave sweets. And pizza.

So yeah, Candy, chocolate and pizza :)

Also, no fast foods like McDonalds and no fried foods.

Oh yes ice cream is a major NO NO for me. It causes so many cravings and then everyday I want to eat ice cream. I used to be so addicted I would have a cone every night!!

I can't think of one thing I don't eat anymore or have given up for health reasons. Although there are some things that I just don't like anymore (like Sprite...waaay too sweet, I don't know how I ever used to drink that stuff). I try to find substitutions for everything and do a pretty good job, even if I do say so myself. But if a substitute just won't do (and sometimes, it just won't), then I limit myself or even better yet, take it on my "free" day and limit myself.

    1. juice and sweetened drinks
    2. prepared box/frozen foods like ramen noodles, hamburger helper or Banquet salisbury steaks/chicken parm.
    3. Butter, margarine or mayo

OK - that's a lot more than 3 - but I put them on three lines!
