Well, I've been signed up on here for around a year now. I've only really started using my fitness pal since January the 6th this year. I've been trawling through old pictures to try and find one of me. The truth is I didn't like pictures when I got fat. I have some pictures as it was the point exactly a year ago when I proposed to my fiancé. So even though I don't like the pictures it was still a happy time in my life.

Here I am. I'm not sure on the exact weight but I started this year at 131kg.

Since then I was starting to physically feel fat, tired and worried about my health as I have quite a lot of family medical issues I decided I didn't want to follow the trend. I knew it and have done for a long time. Numerous times I have lost weight and reached a plateau and it gradually crept back. I'm a primary school teacher and this is where I noticed the weight the most. I was constantly drained and I personally felt the quality of my lessons were slipping. Unfortunatly, so did the head... I think in a way I was depressed and low, the class I have are horrible and still are, some nice kids but don't gel. I can't actually remember what it was but it was almost time to go back to school on friday or Saturday the 5th of January and I had been feeling annoyed with myself for being frustrated with my job, stressed and I realised I shouldn't feel like this from a job. Later that night I wrote my self some silly little rules to get organised and motivated. I then went onto writing a little journal stating what I was doing, how I was feeling, and what my goals were. Since the 6th of january this year I have made many life changes, I have currently lost 20.4kg which is around 45 pounds. I am by no means at my goal weight but I feel absolutely fantastic! To tell you the truth I was feeling great after I had lost 10kg. Not only was I eating, drinking and calorie counting I started exercising more and generally being more active. I lost quite a lot of weight in the first month but luckily that slowed down as I had fear of saggy skin but at the moment it all seems to be stretching back into place which has eased my mind a bit for the time being.

I've had quite a lot of nsvs since loosing weight. One of the most important one is that i am back on track as a teacher. I have a new lease of life and energy. I am generally active. I have come down many many inches, although I don't have the figures to hand. Many people have noticed and commented and the head teacher never wants me to go back to how I got at the low point. People I havnt seen for a while have noticed a great deal. My old favourite suite fits me again. The belly overhang has almost gone. I am sleeping and waking up better. I have just run 7k in what I woud call a half decent time! I could barley managed 1k before Christmas. My stamina in swimming has greatly risen as has technique and speed.

As a little treat fr feeling so good I have bought a new top today. I actually said I wouldn't buy any cloths until. Had ninnies strinking more but I loved the colour, some may not. So here I am now. 20.4kg lighter in my new jumper thing. To be honest it's not a dry flattening picture but it gives you some idea.

The actual picture isn't great and it desn't really show how much my body shape has changed but I definatly think I have. Sund a it big headed but I'm really proud of myself so far and I just want to keep feeling great and having the energy for ever! The only negative is that all of my cloths are way to big for me and I can't afford any new ones with the wedding coming up and sorting the house we have bought in the last year.

My fitness pal has been absolutely great! Can't thank the people on here enough or the actual app developers for making it accessible and simple for everyone. I still can't believe it's free. I am not on any diets I am eating what I want and trying to stick close to my macros.

Essay over!
