I see this phrase around the forums a lot, but I'm ashamed to report that I don't actually know what it means. Can you guys enlighten me? :blushing:

What I think what clean eating means: whole foods which means no processed foods like hot dogs, cheese, chips, etc. I think it means to eat food at its simpliest form. If you eat meat, try to get grass fed meat or wild fish, not farm raised. Also, to eat organic food. No GMOs & high fructose corn syrup. Read the labels when you buy food :) I hope that helps. Have you watched the movie "Food Inc"? It's available on netflix. It's very interesting. It opened my eyes up a lot about the food industry & was the reason why I started to eat clean.

Don't feel bad, there is no definite meaning of clean eating. The meanings can be pretty varied. Tosca Reno's Clean Eating books and magazines include yogurt, grains and other processed products made from only natural foods. Other versions do not include this type of food and only include whole food.

This is a good blog post explaining it.
