The last 10 lbs.....

IS NOT LEAVING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH......I want to hit 130 and be done. I finally broke into the 130s at 139 and as soon as the week was looking promising it jumped back up to 139 again grrrrrrrrr...........did anyone else have an issue those last few lbs? I have always heard they were the worst to lose but I really had no idea it would be THIS frustrating! I'm pretty happy with where I am but I just want to drop these last few.

It's so frustrating :( I'm 5'2" so a healthy BMI ranges at 136-138 for the highest weight and 101 for the lowest. I'm naturally a curvy girl so being that I am ok with my body now I figured another 10 lbs I'll be satisfied to not loose anymore but for some odd reason, my body is resisting these last 10 :(

For me its the last 20 lbs :-( I lost an average of 10.5lbs a month for the past 15 months (160lbs since Dec. 2010 gone!). Now I am within 20 lbs of my goal weight and have seriously plateaued :-s

I have lowered my daily fat % and will watch my sodium like a hawk. I hit my lowest weight to date this morning and am within 16 pounds of my goal weight. I'm honestly a little afraid to step on the scales in the morning, *chuckles nervously*.

I do believe the last few pounds are the toughest and will encourage you the way I encourage myself by reminding us to, "Stay the Course, don't lose hope, and experiment to see what might re-start the weight loss.

Just think for thousands of years the human species has struggled to find enough to eat from day to day and we are blessed to have so many calories available that we have to struggle with losing weight.

Congrats to you on your weight loss!!!! What an amazing accomplishment.

It's comforting to know it isn't just something people say but a legit tough challenge. Here's to hoping we all knock out these last few lbs!

I also am 5ft 2 inches... i started out at 140-142 and have taken 6 months to finally reach my 1st goal of 10 lbs... i goal is 125 ugw 122ish... i am really to the point that as long as i can get myself to stay under 130 i will be 100% happy. sure it would be nice to actually hit my goal or ugw but it's been such a hard battle since day 1... i mean 6 months for 10 lbs .. wow.. talk about exhausting! the most frustrating thing is i'm in between sizes right now... so i can't get "new " clothes yet.... if i can just get down a full size in any brand, and all brands that will be a accomplishment and i will be happy... not this in between sizes bit...

I guess our bodies want to get comfortable around the 140 mark. :/ I started at 187. I hit some plateaus, some lasted for MONTHS. This one has only been a few weeks but I guess bc it's the last few lbs it's driving me bonkers.

I had a hard time breaking through the 140's. It took me about four months to get from 145 into the 130's. There was a two month plateau in there along with an emotional break that led to weight gain. However, I just blew through the 130's like a boss, lol. Now I just entered into the 120's and have a feeling it will be a tough road ahead. I have less than 10lbs to my goal weight (or supposed goal weight).

But, yeah, it can be very frustrating. The last time I broke my plateau was actually increasing my calorie in-take by 100-150 calories. Who knew. It was advice given to me from people on here. I had tried so many other things and that was the thing that kick started my weight loss again.

Hmmm really??? Maybe I'll try that. I know when I was in the 170s I plateaued for a solid 3 months. I about lost my mind!!!! This one has only been a couple weeks but being so close to goal is not making it any easier. I just ran my first half marathon so I spent the last 12 weeks training and i think that's why I blew through the 140s like I did so I guess I should have expected the hover. I tend to hover every 10 lbs :/ but still, I just want to solidify these size 8s lol I can fit some brands but not all. It irritates me lol

Yes! Especially if you are working out, I suggest eating back at least half of the calories you burned (if you're not already.) That's what was happening to me. I was working out and burning these calories and it was causing me to go into 'starvation mode' as my net calorie was going under 1000 calories with working out. Try it out for a week or two and see if it helps any.

I was doing that religiously for the longest time. Swore by it then stopped. I do eat most of them back lately though.....I will make a more conscious effort to do it for a few weeks and see if that helps.

Looks like we're having plateaus at the same weight. I'm right around 140 and I've been staying within a few lbs for awhile and can't seem to break through. Just going to keep working at it. Good luck!

I am 5'2" as well and just recently made my goal. The last 10 pounds sucked. Truly. But once I hit the 130's it melted off to where I am now at 135. Just be patient and be sure you are eating enough. Your body needs fuel now more than ever so it knows you are not starving. Good luck!

I'm 5ft 3 and half, my original goal was to reach 9st 7 (133lbs) from 12st 7 last June and I achieved that this month. I'm thrilled with 3 stone lost but my tummy isn't where I wanted it to be and Wii Fit says I should be 9st 3 (129lbs) for my height.. though i had put 5ft 4 on the game as it wouldn't take halves.. I should probably be lighter than 9st 3 even, but I think I have a medium frame and already look thin around face and neck as lost much more of the top than I expected. (gone from 40 bust to a 34)

Anyway I'd just like to finish the game so I'm trying to get the last 4 lbs off and currently I'm only losing when my TOTM ends and I usualy lose an additional 2 lbs of water than what went on the week before. 2lbs a month is very slow but as its only gonna take until my original goal date (june) to reach I guess I'll have to put up with it.

I've gone back to very strict diet no grains no carbs other than what's in fruit or veg with just salad or veg with plain meat or fish for dinner. Today breakfast was a banana, lunch is carrots stickand an apple sliced with a bit of hummus, dinner is plain fish with steamed veg with maybe a tiny drizzling of sweet chilli sauce to give it some flavour. I burn 600 cals on exercise pedals and trying to fit an extra wii fit session in too so trying to get 4lb to come off in one month instead of two... no idea if it will work.. I might just get something like bottle of oxy elite pro for the last month to help these last few pounds off faster.

I am the same, have 9lb's to go to reach my goal weight of 126, however they are really making me work for it!! :)

Have started to eat back some of my exercise cals and have added in an extra high intensity cardio class each week and have added weights to see if can get out of of my plateau, also considering getting strict on my diet again, have been getting slightly lax and allowing a few naughty things to creep back in as keep telling myself your so close a wee treat wont do any harm!! lol.

Was hoping to reach my goal by May 22nd as going on holiday however am just going to focus on diet and exercise over next three weeks and hopefully that will show on the scales.

I'm actually stuck at 167.4 and my goal is 150. I just starting taking Zumba at the gym three times a week. I am hoping something gives for my next week weigh-in. I just joined this site so I;m hoping that this will help.

The last 10 can be hard going. Im at my last 6 now and have had a few stalls along the way. I blasted through them using calorie and carb cycling & structured re-feed days, i now consistently lose about a pound a week and haven't stalled since.

Sorry to rant but I just realised it took me 5 months to lose the last 4.5kg and get to my goal weight, and 1 month to put it all back on again :(

    YES! It was nasty!
What someone told me to do is cut back on my exersises and increase 100 calories a day for 1 week
I did it and then poof pounds started falling again!
It's like your body gets stuck!

I doubt all of the weight you regained was fat.
The bulk of it was most likely intracellular water, and glycogen filling your muscles.

I hit 135 did the happy dance, went back up to 138-139. My goal is 132. Been 138-139 for weeks. I just started weight training, which I hear does slow down the actual "weight" loss, but should be seeing inches lost. I'm fine w/ inches lost I just want to wear a sz 7 jean again without any muffin top. Here's to all of us getting rid of the last few lbs:)

I am 5'3 and weigh 142. I have lost 7 lbs since Jan but have been stuck at 142 since the beginning of April. I am considering doing the Shakeology cleanse to try and jump start my weight loss again. I workout 5 days a week.
