5lbs of Fat vs 5lbs of Muscle

Food for thought, my Zumba instructor posted this pic in our forum and I thought I would share it here. Everyone is right, 5 lbs is 5lbs, no matter what it is. The visual though is . . . definitely something to think about and a definite motivator.
edit: sorry guys, I'm kinda new to posting the pic's and had to resize it (like 50 times).

this also shows how muscle is smooth and firm, while fat is lumpy and soft.

woah! totally explains why everything thinks I weigh much less than I do. Gotta love muscle mass.
Oh and it is very hard for me to believe that I lost 3 of those! GOODNESS! (yea, sure, some of it was water weight...still!!!)0 -
I keep telling my friends and co-workers that 5lbs = 5lbs, just that fat takes up more volume. Nice picture to keep in mind on days we struggle0

Bump.
That's pretty gross looking but a great way to put it into perspective! I sometimes rely too heavily on the sale when I'm definitely losing inches, and now I can SEE why that is. Thanks for posting!0 -
