I'm writing a paper and i need to know on the show like the bigges tloser how do they come up with the percentage of weight lost for that week? I know it's current weight from weight lost and then they turn it to a percent some how?????? I don't know but I really need to know. So that way I get the scientific part of it. If any one can please respond asap and give me a sample problem that shows me how it's done I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

    current weight / previous weight x 100
  • Ok I'm kind of confused????? So If weighed 150 last week and this week I weight 146 I take 146/150 x 100 I get 97.33333333 I don't get it ?
  • no it is weight lost / previous weight x 100. That gives you the percent lost.

so using your example it would be 4/150x100 = 2.67%
  • ( (starting weight - current weight ) / starting weight ) x 100 = %

    (150-146) = 4/150 = .0266 x 100 = 2.66%
