Morning! I am awake at an ungodly time, 4:30am, and headed into the gym shortly for a walk/run to wrap up my first week of Couch to 5k! It has been 3 years since I've run and I forgot how amazing the runner's high is!
Are there any MFP-ers out there who started out walking or C25k-ers out there who have had great success or became runners? I'm looking for inspiration and would love to add a few people to follow as I am new to myfitnesspal.
Everyone have a great Friday and thanks for letting me introduce myself!

A few years back I couldn't run across a parking lot to my car. A couple of weeks ago, I ran 5 miles without having to stop and walk. I'm not fast by any means, but as my endurance builds, speed is slowly coming with it. Couch to 5K is what I have used to help me become a runner. I absolutely love that program!
Good luck and feel free to add me as a friend!0 -
I am working on the c25k program now. Up to 2.2 miles straight. This from a girl that never ran a mile in her life! I am doing a dirty girl mud run in a week which is a 5k, but its split up with obstacles so its not straight running. Then I am signing up for my first 5k in June. So excited. I know I am slow, butfrom someone that has never run before, I think I am doing pretty well!0

NJ girl here. Never ran in my life, even in school I use to make up excuses not to run in gym. Mainly because of my girls (chest). But I always wanted to run so I downloaded the app couch to 5k about 2 weeks ago. Only did it once but loved it. Will start back up next week.0

I run W3D2 tonight. I cant believe that I have come this far. I was always a sprinter in high school never a long distant runner. I am liking the results and the high. Good luck0
