It's been a very busy, very hectic, stressful last week or so for me- but that's NO EXCUSE!! I have been not doing horrible (been doing great all day and getting nibbly at night- which is not like me at all), but certainly not as good as I was doing and still should be, and have been doing. I feel like I'm staring down the slippery slope, and I'm sure I can count on all my wonderful fellow MFPers to give me the kick in the as$ that I need so that things don't get out of hand... go ahead... give it to me!

If you're having busy, hectic, stressful days, are you finding it hard to get all your food in you should be eating? I know that's pretty easy to have happen when things are going bonkers. That could explain why you're getting nibbly at night. Try to find a good, healthy snack — heck, even a meal as long as it's good for you — to eat tonight. It's better than eating junk. Then make sure to eat enough during the day tomorrow. Also, remind yourself why you started this journey in the first place. If they were good reasons then, they're good reason snow. Hope that helps!

Maybe we can kick each other in the a**. LOL. I've been going down that slippery slope myself, and I vowed to myself that tomorrow is another day. Just jump back on the wagon. Also, I don't want to undo all that I've accomplished so far. And you don't either. Right? I read a quote somewhere. It said, "There's nothing that tastes as good as being thin feels." It's easy to backslide...we just gotta jump back on with our goals in our sights. I took out all these pics of me and posted them around. I'm tired of looking like that, and feeling like like an old lady when I'm only 43. So get on it!!! If you do, I will too!!! :flowerforyou:0

Darlin', you're so close to your goal, there's no way you're gonna let yourself backslide now. I've been doing TERRIBLY with the food lately, but I gave myself a kick in the *kitten*, and asked myself what the heck I was doing after all of my hard work. So, I think I smartened up. It sure felt like it on that almost 2 hour bike ride tonight.
Tomorrow is a new day, let's make it a freakin' awesome one!0 -
All right-- you asked for it--
Let's go ladies-- no excuses. No whining. You either want to be in shape and lose this weight badly enough to fight through this, or you don't.
Only Y-O-U can do this for yourself, but you have to fight for it. You have to work for it.
I have nine children, an unemployed husband and stress out the backside-- and I've lost 47 pounds since June of '08 because I decided to finally control and own this enemy, and stop making excuses.
Get going and stop the insanity--0 -

Anyway...I'm an evening nibbler also especially if I haven't had enough calories in the day so I've been having watermelon as an evening snack & wow all the water in it really fills you up...so maybe try some fruit to tame the hunger animal in you0 -

Deal!!
On a separate note, I want a bike SO bad!! I've always LOVED biking. Right now, I'm still a fairly new runner- run about 2 to 3 miles 3 times a week and I want so badly to just get on my bike and go when I'm bored (aka eating!) but I just bought a brand new car and I refuse to put a bike rack on it. Many of the roads in my neighborhood aren't very good for bike riding, and with winter in New England coming, I'm thinking it might be my reward for myself for meeting my goal come spring...
Thanks for the pep talk! :flowerforyou:0 -

Thank you- just what I needed to hear- somehow all of those things pack a little extra punch when they're coming from someone else! They just don't have the same power when I'm telling them to myself :laugh:0 -

Comic relief and snap-out-of-it motivation-- that's my job, Ma'am.
