A lot of speculation according to the Beeb at the moment.
Nothing concrete but that is a lot of police and a big area to cordone off if it was not serious.0 -
Someone on the radio from the Huffington post is talking at the moment. Some of the hostages have been released and have reported someone going in there wth canisters attached to their body.
Approximately 4 hostages at the moment, according to reports.0 -

Yeah, in London. Glad this is now getting more noticed.
Apparently, all hostages are now safe, talking with police in the local Starbucks. I'm not sure what is happening with the guy with the cannisters.0 -

i have been up tottenham court road about an hour ago, its all cornered off, and they kept taking the tape back further and further. its still like it now0

My DH has just come home safe and sound - he was working nearby and was evacuated. x0

When I was at work earlier, one of the baristas from that same Starbucks came in and was telling us about it. Apparently, they didn't get to work but got paid for the day anyway. Lucky things :laugh: glad everyone's okay though. Must have been very scary.0
