Hi All,
Just wondering if when you wear a pedometer and get your total steps/miles do you add that to your exercise for the day? I also do a walking DVD most days and strive for 3-4 miles per workout. I don't wear the pedometer for that as it is already measured for me.....
Just wondering....
Thanks

I do wear a pedometer, but I only log it as exercise if I walk at night. I do not log the steps that I take at work as part of my exercise! :)

thanks for the info, I got this new pedometer, a FitBit and I love it......it was a little pricey but it seems to be the easiest and most accurate pedometer I have ever owned....and I have had quite a few.....

I would not bother. Seems to me like a waste of time and money. Tracking of exercise (or activity) is really only useful if you are doing more than the usual day to day. Your ordinary activities are factored into your basal metabolic rate. Instead, spend your money on a good heart rate monitor and wear that when you exercise. Count those calories.
