Ok y'all I'm taking my son to an amusement park tomorrow (Silver Dollar City) and I was needing some advice on making some healthy food choices. I'll be doing a lot of walking so that will help but the food thing make me kinda nervous. Any advice is appreciated.

eat before you go, big healthy breakfast, then try to avoid anything fried or carb laden or anything in an amusement park, LOL but honestly, eat before and after, drink water while your there.0

My mom would always pack a cooler with waters, sandwiches and chips. Probably more so to save money but thinking about it now, its a great healthy alternative. Eat a good healthy breakfast before you go and rent a locker inside the park so you can have a picnic lunch.0

As the above poster said, eat before you go, and make sure to take water. I go to Disneyland a couple of times a month and I eat dinner before we go (in the evening) and carry a large bottled water around with me. Sometimes we take a backpack full of fruits and healthy snacks. If i'm craving something sweet i'll stop at the 7 11 nearby beforehand and get a Diet Coke. I tell my husband before we go NOT to let me eat anything. They have the best ice cream.0

If you've stuck to your plan that well, maybe you should allow yourself a treat. It's not like you're going to eat amusement park food every day, have a funnel cake or something and then work harder in the gym when you get home. Splurges are ok on occasion.

Maybe split whatever you end up getting?0

Hi! This is my first reply.
A lot of the time there are plastic containers of chopped fruit to buy. There are also sandwhiches- no mayo and make halthy options of course, smoothies, grilled chicken, and if you order a meal make sure to ask for water and veggies instead of soda and fries! I looked on google and that amusement park has a website and on it it says the food options, click on the resteraunt you plan to go to and chose ahead!0 -
I usually stick to plain hamburgers, pizza(w/o toppings) or jumbo pretzels w/o salt.0

Pack your own water so you don't get stuck paying $30 a bottle for one.....and pack your own lunch/snackies.0

Take sandwiches and granola bars. Amusement part food is way overpriced anyway.0
