NSV = Non Scale Victory (a personal victory separate from actual weight loss, like getting a compliment from someone on weight loss, completing a major achievement like a 5K, etc)

Fitbit = a piece of electronic gimcrackery that uses motion detectors and other gewgaws to estimate your daily activity level.

NSV- Non-scale victory. Fitbit is a device some people use to help them lose weight but I don't know the exact particulars.

Fitbit is a device you wear that measures all kinds of things...kind of like a heart rate monitor. It links here.

I think it uses motion sensors. It's a modern pedometer of sorts. Personally, I'd rather go with estimates and save the $100, but if that $100 was in pennies you'd be losing 60 pounds! ;)

    Here are some examples

My NSV - non scale victory: I have to wear a belt with some of my pants now. And my wedding ring fits much better than it used to. Someone asked me at work this week if I was losing weight. My husband told me my face is looking thinner. And I've noticed I'm getting stronger because I upped the level of weights I can handle at the gym. :) good week.
  • I am clueless with NSV or how it works but i did my homework on FItbit , the fitbit is just a tiny device you carry with you daily its like a bluethooth headset in size you can carry it on your belt o just drop it in your pocket and it will count every step you take , will register how many calories you burn and also when you sleep you keep it on your arm and it will track if you are having enough sleep hours for a healthy life and will keep the record

This device can connect to your iPhone or android phone via Bluetooth and it will connect also with myfitnespal so it automatically send to this site all your progress daily .

Now its kinda price for a stepcounter ... it goes around $99 however i found it on ebay wayyyy cheaper :)

Hope it helps you will look foward to get you an answer on what is NSV
