Calorie burn during long term exercising

Question...
I'm going snowboarding tomorrow and plan to wear my HRM to track my calorie burn. I'll be on the slopes for 5 or so hours. Now, I'd burn a certain number of calories during that period anyways during the course of a day. Should I subtract my normal average calories from the total to get at my actual exercise calories?

I'm not sure, but have a great time snowboarding tomorrow! I would think you would add snowboarding as added exercise.0

Depends on your standard setting. If you have your "lifestyle" set at "sedentary", then YES, track ALL exercise.
If you are normally, say, a landscaper and already work really hard during the week (and have your lifestyle set at "very active"), then snowboarding might not be quite as much of a departure from your daily routine.
In any case, have fun and shred some snow for me. I live in Maine - we got NOTHIN' for snow this year.0 -
Pacific NW here and it was snowing up at Crystal Mountain today. 4" in the last 48 hours! Woo hooo! We got awesome snow this year and it looks to be a nice long Spring season.
I do have my lifestyle set as sedentary so I'll take the advice and just count it all. I might even allow myself some pizza for dinner; in moderation, of course. :happy:0
