Wow...a surprising NSV for me!

I've been working on C25K for over 2 months now. Not entirely sure when I started. I've been going slowly and repeating weeks. I started week 5 a long time ago, then ended up going back to week 3. I repeated that week a couple of times then did week 4 two or three times. I started week 5 again, and did the first two days twice each. Tonight I wanted to go running. I was going to do W5D1 again and then decided that I would try day 3 and see how far I got. Day 3 is where you run for 20 minutes straight. I knew there was no way I could do the whole 20 minutes, but I thought why not try and see how far you get? I've been avoiding that particular day for a long time now LOL.

Drum roll please....I DID IT! I jogged the entire 20 minutes. I went slower than normal, but I did it. I went about 1.5 miles in that 20 minutes. I was huffing and puffing and tired, but I actually think I could have gone at least another 5 minutes. To say I was shocked is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I have NEVER run that far in my life. Ever. Just WOW.

    I'm jealous! I HATE running, always have! The problem is that I want to like it! I have tried four times to try to running. I have failed each time. I just cannot run more than 2 1/2-3 minutes. Well yesterday I started what I call "Quest to enjoy running: Take five!". I am following a plan from a friend and am going to try hard to stick with it. She said this is easy.... Wish me luck. And congrats to you!!!!!

    Good luck!!! I've never liked running. Never been able to do it. In fact, I remember when I was in 4th or 5th grade, at the annual track and field day, I decided to do the half mile run. I have NO IDEA why...I wasn't a runner and had never wanted to run that event before. Yeah, I didn't make it. Not even close. I was active and athletic back then, and only a tiny bit overweight. And I am now fitter than I was way back then. Yup, pigs are flying and hell froze over LOL.
