I just joined My Fitness Pal a few days ago. I really like the website. It helps keep me on track with my eating, although I didn't do well today. Nice to meet you all! :smile:

    Hey everyone! I just joined tonight; and I'm pretty excited but really nervous. Food is sort of an addiction for me. I need to find foods that fill me up and are low calorie (and obviously taste good).. any suggestions? Also... what are healthy snacks?
  • Congrats on joining I been here since December, stopped for a little bit but still was losing weight, now just starting coming back on tonight! You will love it here! Add me if you want & we can be each other's motivators :)
  • Hey all. I've been on here off and on; but now committed. Try eating foods with more fiber. It's the fiber that gives you the "full" feeling. Feel free to add me.

    Welcome! Some of my favorite healthy snacks are veggies with hummus, dried fruit, I also am a huge fan of kale chips. Any way I can get those veggies into my body is always a priority. For me it has seemed to make all the difference in the world.
  • Nice to meet you all! I've been making my own stir frys lately because I can control what goes in it! Fortunately, I found out how much I love stir fry! I get lots of veggies and flavor for a big plateful! Winco sells these bags of stir fry veggies and that makes things real easy. I've been buying carne asada too. I separate it into individual-sized portions and freeze it. Same with chicken tenders!

    My craving for sweets is diminishing too. I still love me some chocolate too. I buy the Hershey's miniatures. I'll eat one or two and I'm good!
  • The biggest thing you will have to deal with is yourself. Motivation is the key for a better you. In the beginning you may be shocked if you go over the "suggested calories." Don't be. Start off small to get yourself used to counting calories. Losing weight and getting in shape takes time. If there was a short cut this website would not exist.
