I started at size 18 in June 2011. Am now a solid 8 and 6 in some brands. I have low carb primal/paleo to thank for the best health in my life. Am close to my goal but not quite there yet.0

at 252 I was squeezing into a 24
now at about 165 I am comfortable in a 12.
I am 5'7".0 -
I went from a UK/Ireland size 16 to a size 8!0
-
I am 5'2 started at 256 in size 24 jeans now I have not grown any taller since but I am now at 167pds and in a size 10 jeans.0
-
I started out at 254 lbs or more and wore a size 18 - 20 jeans and 2X in scrubs for work. I am now 186 lbs and wear 11 jeans and Large size scrubs for work.
Great job everyone!0 -
well we all know that women's sizes vary from store to store. when I started I really couldn't buy clothes in stores so it is hard to guage accurately. However, I have gone from buying a 42 (through the mail) to buying a 26 (in stores) so that would be 8 sizes. I started on February 13, 2011.
I am also 5'10. It is hard but I am sure that you can accomplish your goals!
Good luck!0 -
i was uk size 14 about 165pounds. now im size 8 and 112pounds. still not happy though!!0

I'm 5'2". I started at 150 lbs around 10 in work pants, 11/12 in jeans and 10 in dresses. I'm now 122 lbs and a 2 in work pants, 1/2 in jeans and a 2 in dresses.
So, that's, 4 in work pants, 5 sizes in jeans, 4 in dresses. Total of 28 lbs. Being short is hard. 1 lb is A LOT on a tiny frame. Now I'm down to 20.5% body fat.0 -
I'm 5'6".
Last year at 190, I was in a size 16 in Levis (I like them because they seem true to size). Now I'm 162 and a size 12 in Levis that are getting a bit roomy (Yay!).
I freakin' HATE vanity sizing. I try to keep in clothing that I know run true to size.0 -
I started this program 12/2011. I'm 5'4.
SW: 191
Pants : 13/14 and I could wear some 16's
CW: 151
Pants: 7/8
Good luck!0 -
I am bottom heavy so I don't wear dresses. Fortunately though, the bottom is where I lose weight the quickest. I have lost 3 shirt sizes and five pant/jeans sizes. Woo hoo!!0

I am 5'5". When I started MFP, I weighed about 185-190, not sure really (scale was inaccurate). I wore a size 12/14 dress/pants and an XL or XXL shirt.
I am still 5'5" . I now weight 149 and am size 5/6 and a S or M shirt.0 -
When I started I was into size 26 pants (24 was my skinny pants) I am now in 12's bordering on 10's as 12's are getting loose. Shirts 4x now I go between L and M depending on the cut. I wore scubs at work and went from 4x to M. I have my heart and sights set on a size 8 and a small/med tops **fingers crossed**0

Well, I'm not sure how many sizes I have lost, but I'm 5' 7.5"
Was: 266.8 lbs. - size 24 pants, size 26 dress, size XXXL tops
Now: 175.8 lbs. - size 10 pants, size 12 dress, size large tops0 -
I was 175 - pants size 16
I am 169 - pants size 15
yeah, it's taking ages for me0 -
I am just shy of 5'10''
Sizes vary per store, so I use jeans as a measurement of clothe size since I still wear the same brand and style.
I was 193lbs (Jan 1st 2011)
Size 13
I am now 157lbs
Size 4
I was a size 8 at 165lbs in January 2012, but although the scale has not moved much, I started weight training and the inches have just melted off since then. I have the body shape of a swimmer, so I have broad shoulders but very little hips and butt...clothes size also depends on body type.0 -
5 (more like 6) sizes from a size 22/24 to a current size 12. hoping to reach a 6/8.

I'm 5'4". At my heaviest, I weighed 218-220 lbs and wore a TIGHT 16.
Now, at 142 lbs, I'm between a 4 and a 6, depending on the brand and style of clothing. XL to a S/XS!!
So, that's 5 or 6 sizes in 80 lbs!0 -
I went from an 18 (probably close to 20) and the other day I tried on a size 12 and they fit! I was so happy.0

Pants are a little weird for me.
I'm 5'2.5,
Previous weight: 170, Jeans size 6
Current weight: 135-136.4, Jeans size 3 (but they're a little loose). However, the other day I fit into a size 0 dress comfortably with some stretch room (it was a stretchy vicose/spandex dress).0 -
I'm 5'3 ..27 years old with 3 kids. i was always thin my whole life till i got pregnant with my first ..and i just kept all the weight on from each pregnancy. at my heaviest i was 154 lbs. I went from a size 12 jeans to a 1 in about 7 months after i had my last baby0

I've lost two sizes. I was wearing an 11/12 and now I can fit into a 7/8, which is what I was wearing when my husband and I were first dating. I think I could fit into that size when my oldest was about 15 months old too if I remember correctly. My body is so different now though after having kids. There are just areas that will never be the same. That's okay though, I feel much healthier than I did this time last year and my kids are worth all the changes to my body.0

I found the smaller you are the less weight you need to loss to change to the next size. I would say for about every 5-10 pounds you could change sizes if you have about 30-40 pounds to lose. I have about 44 more to lose and I have already loss 50 pounds. I droped from a 22-24 to XL top and 16-18 bottoms from size 22. I hope this helps you. Sizes do vary so much from one bran to another that I sometimes have to go larger or smaller. You know it all comes down to how you feel in the dress.:flowerforyou:0
