Well here it goes....
I started my fitness pal last April. From April to September I lost 38 pounds. I stopped working in September to stay home with my kids. I was able to maintain my weight lost because I was able to go and walk/run everyday, I was able to fix nice and healthy meals everyday because I was at home. Well January it was time for me to go back because of financial issues. So I went back to work I lost motivation to make the right decisions. I have gained 5-10 pounds back. I need to get back on the right path and kick this battle in the butt.
My biggest issue is lunch and dinner. I have 2 kids and a husband we car pool together. I never know what to fix because we're on the go all the time. So now here I am planning out the weeks dinner and lunches and I am at a lost. Has anyone lost their mojo? What did you do to get it back?

Hi!
I too have lost my mojo and need to get it back. I start off the day full of great intensions. But usually around 3:00 pm, I start getting tired, and my will power weakens. I have a crazy sweet tooth, and a husband who does the grocery shopping- so we always have chips, cookies, chocolate etc. in the house and it drives me nuts. Sometimes I eat it all just so it won't tempt me anymore. Then I feel so discusted with myself...etc. I work 4 days a week and have 3 children, so evenings are anything but relaxing. I find I have to choose between going to the gym, or sleep. When I'm sleep deprived, I eat sweets. When I excercise I feel good, but then the sleep deprivation accumulates. It's so hard to find a balance.
One thing I have tried to do is incorporate more walking into my day. I walk (10 minutes) from the metro to work in the morning, instead of taking the bus. And after work I walk home from the train station (15 minutes).
I can't seem to lose more than the 5 pounds I have already lost and I know it's because of my eating habits. But sometimes I feel so good (temporarily) after having eaten chocolate or cookies...it's fun!
What foods do you normally prepare for lunch and dinner? For dinner we usually have meat, starch and a veg (eg: chicken, rice and brocolli) usually takes about 30 minutes to prepare when we get home. I detest making lunches. If I don't have time to make my own lunch, I'll try to go to subway and eat one of their low fat sandwiches.
Good luck with everything! Hope you get it back, and keep posting!0 -
I can totally relate to everything you said! Mornings I do good, eat my skim milk and special K, sometimes i pack or buy lunch. Mid afternoon is when i get my sweet tooth so after that hits is when I go down hill. Dinner is just like yours. Its hard to incorporate something where everyone will eat the same thing. We always have chips, chip dip, cookies in the house so while im fixing dinner i will get the chips out and start pigging out. Its crazy.
Evenings are crazy around my house also with getting home around 5:30 starting dinner then getting my oldest to start doing her homework getting baths getting my 2 year old to settle down after the kids go to sleep I'm ready for sleep my self. My husband says he'll watch the kids when I go to the gym but by the time i get there I'm ready to relax LOL
When I go get into the mind set I do try to walk on my breaks so a total of 30 mins. I always think that's better then nothing. I've tried to go back into the mindset and I do loose weight its just trying to keep it up is the hard part because there's days where i just want to eat all the greasy fat foods. When I keep count of what I eat and my calories in my mind I always thing its not enough to keep me full in reality it should be. Its more of a mind of matter thing I guess.0
