help me find a plan or at least a goal

Well why do you want to loose weight? That should be your goal. For me it's to stay healthy and fit on clothes I want to wear.0

My personal goal is my high school weight. That's goal 1. According to the charts (look up BMI charts), I really need to loose about 15 or 20 pounds beyond that. We'll see what I think when I reach my first goal.:happy: To set your own goal, consider what your "ideal" weight is for your height. Then consider what your personal view of an "ideal" weight is.
As for a plan, start by just logging what you eat in a normal day. Just keeping track of that is very eye opening! Then start adjusting here and there for lower calorie, lower fat, lower sodium choices. You don't have to give up carbs, protein, everything! Just start making better choices. And get moving! Exercise of some sort. I teach band, so I use my marching practices as some of my exercise right now. I do more marching with the kids than I would have last year. You don't have to jump in and start working out for an hour everyday, if that isn't what you're used to! Start where you're at, and take steps to move towards where you want to be.

Your goal should be personal (for you only) and most importantly, realistic. Many people set unrealistic or unattainable goals which leads to defeat. Ask yourself "what do I really want?" For me, yes I want to be thin, attractive, sexy, wear nice clothes, etc... but deep down I want a long, healthy, happy life. And to attain that goal, I need to lose weight.
