Anyone combining MFP & Low GI?

I've been using MFP for a while now but haven't really dedicated myself properly. I'm from Adelaide & desperately need to lose 20kg. I'm 38 & have 2 rascals at school. My aim next week is to menu plan, cheap weekly shop!!! and get some me time! I'm not the most organised & suffer from anxiety/depression so exercise is high up on my me time list! Low GI with calorie counting seems good. Any advice/tips/hits etc would be very welcome!

I do. I have some metabolic issues and low glycemic seems to help. I do however, plan for 1 day a week to allow myself foods that I normally would not have. I also cycle my carbohydrate intact up and down a bit. Feel free to poke in my food diary.0

I've been eating low glycemic for about 15 years now. Back then, the weight was creeping up, and my mood and PMS were horrible. I couldn't wait for lunch each day, and was a cranky, ahem beotch until I got food.
Now, 15 years later, I've kept all but 5 pounds off, and don't have the pre-meal cranks.
I eat grains,I eat carbs. I just go slow carb. I don't drink juice (that puts me over the edge).
I find it a very sustainable way to eat.
That said, yes, some days are harder, and some days I can't (travel). Yesterday I went t a school picnic and ended up having a slice of pizza (first slice of restaurant white bread pizza in years).0
