Food scales

I have 2 questions:

I've been using a cheap, flimsy little food scale that seems like it may be really inaccurate. Has anyone used this type of food scale and what has your experience been with it. If you have found it inaccurate, how bad has it been?

Does anyone have any suggestions for an accurate food scale and where can it be purchases?

If you don't trust your scale, why not buy a set of measuring spoons? I find myself using them more often.
I have a digital scale that I bought abroad, so I can't recommend any in particular.

I love my food scale. I weigh just about everything when I am at home. You can really get an accurate idea of portions of fruit (I use grams for accuracy) and meat (oz) when you use it.

I got mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond with an expired 20% off coupon (they take them even if they are out of date!). We bought this one:

    Good luck!!

Oh, thank you. I have a ton of measuring spoons and cups and I do prefer to use those over a food scale. Sometimes I can't find a good listing for some foods in the database - like the birthday cake I ate last night. Some things just seem to be listed more often in ounces or grams.

This is the one I use. I bought it at Bed Bath & Beyond also with a 20% off coupon. It works well for my purposes.
