The title say it all

I use my running shoes to lift but when I do squats and deadlifts, I really have to be careful to not end up on my toes.

Converse Chuck Taylors - nice flat bottom, no springiness.

something flat and non-compressible; Chuck Taylors are a great example.

I use zero gravity shoe (adizero by adidas) - relatively flat and still good to run in.

Converse are great, but not to run in

    the new reebok crossfit shoe...

I use OTOMIX, but am now also considering Vibram or similar shoes.

I use Chucks for lifting, but anything flat like that will do.

Something with a solid, non-compressible surface. There are several weightlifting specific shoes, but some Chucks or any of those new minimalist running shoes (though I've only seen people use Nike Frees and VFFs) will do just fine.

My BIL does super heavy lifting (he competes in strong man) and he wore Converse or he wears his weight lifting shoes.

We started heavy lifting and we do it barefoot, but its in our own house. I know running shoes are NOT the way to go.

YES. Hell I actually have a pair of Chuck Taylor knock-offs that I got for $10. Perfect.
