Care for your sweaty car seats & seatbelts

I'm just wondering how those of you who get in your car all sweaty care for your car seats and seat belt, so they don't get all stanky. I've got a microfiber seat-cover made specifically for athletes, but in the summer months don't use it since it's rather warm.

How do you clean your seats and seat belts once they get smelly?

I get sweat laden and sit all over my leather seats and they don't stink yet but I am sure it will catch up with me. Bumping for future information use.

I have all leather interior too and I worry (anal) about it. I clean all the leather once a week with leather cleaner, but if I get in my car after a sweaty run I use a towel on the seat. It's all black so it shows pretty much anything that gets on it. I wondered about this the other day! I'm curious what other people do too.

I have leather, too. I just put a towel down. Seems to be fine. I guess time will tell! :noway:

Leather seats, and put a towel down after exercising. Clean and condition the seats every now and then.

For the seats in my cloth car: use Meguiar's APC (all purpose cleaner) properly diluted using a small (for cars) shampoo/vacuum thingy.

In my leather car, I use leather cleaner, slightly damp, brush gently with a leather brush, then treat with leather conditioner.
Oily skin is actually good for your leather. Stanky urea in your sweat-- not so much.

I have cloth and I used Febreze in my car and let the windows down almost all night. Seemed to help, but I have to do this treatment at least once a week.
