I am not new at this.
But I am at a loss.
Granted, I had some issues with health in the last year. Just had an ovary removed last month.
But...why the EFF does my body INSIST of hovering around 180?!?!?
Someone tell me what to do?
I am gluten intolerant.

LOL no one had tips.
Thanks, guys! you rock.0 -
My best way to get through a plateau was with some high intensity interval training types of exercises while keeping my caloric intake the same. Tabata is good for plateaus. I see the drop after about 1 or 2 weeks for me. Not sure what other folks have experienced.
What are you eating everyday? I see you lost weight and I am guessing you are just frustrated by the plateau.0 -
I would help if I could, but Im having a similar issue! sorry0

Wish I could help, but I don't have a clue about eating gluten free meals. If you're not already lifting weights, you should. Lifting heavy with low reps is one way to go. Do a search for "lifting heavy" and you'll see a lot of threads.0

If you aren't losing weight for weeks at a time there are only two things that could be causing it:
Your goal is wrong. Perhaps your BMR has dropped alone with your weight and you haven't adjusted your goal. I am curious how quickly you were losing before, if you were at a steady 1 lb per week loss etc.
Or
You aren't following your goal because: you aren't being accurate with your logging in food or you aren't using a HRM and are overestimating your burns and then eating back to much.0 -
Without looking at your diary - food and exercise - it's hard to make constructive comments.
Good Luck!0 -
what i eat that im still able to stay under my calories but yet be totally full ! And my exercise regimen, so here goes nothingg ! Also, these foods are what i like to eat , but your more then welcome to modify them
Large Meals - up to 300 cal / Snacks - up to 100cal
& everything is a serving size so read your labels !
Breakfasts - 6am-8am (snack - 11am)
1cup Fiberone cereal [160],1/2 cup raspberries[31] ,1/2 of banana [52] 1/2 cup of 2% Milk [60] = 303cal
1/2 cup Quaker Oat Oatmeal[150] & 1 cup 2% Milk [120] = 270cal you can add fruit nd raisins for flavor but dont forget to log in those calories !
3/4 cup Honey Nut Cheerios [110] , 1/2 cup 2% milk [60] = 170cal
i keep breakfasts light but filling, the more fiber the better so cereals are the best for breakfast , im not an eggy person lol but you can do like turkey bacon with a slice of fiberone double fiber bread with a scrambled egg, or just an omelet with 2 eggs red onions red peppers turkey or turkey bacon and cheese with a piece of fruit .. oh yea i forgot to mention i cook for a livinq lol so i can go on with these recipes but you guys pretty much get the point w| breakfast
Lunches - 12pm-2pm (snack - 5pm)
2 baked chicken wings [160] 1tbsp italian wishbone dressing [8] 1.5cup spring mixed salad (thats a mix of spinach chickory or watever its called lol uhm arugala nd romaine lettuce) [6] 1oz of carrot chips (they remind me of a ruffle chip dipped in chedder powder lol ) [12] = 186!cal

Snacks-
if i have a fiberone bar for a snack its usually between breakfast nd lunch. But i have fruit/veggies as snacks ; apples oranges bananas plums peaches pineapple fruit w yogurt grapes cantelopes melon, or carrots w peanut butter mm or ranch w.e is clever
* As for seasonings i use Goya Adobo nd Goya Sazon Garlic Peppers Onions nd Sofrito ( its green w cilantro peppers nd oinos . you can buy it at the store but i do mine homemade) but i use that for beans or saucy dishes. *
Exercise :
* i dont own a Wii but i go to Youtube nd i have a playlist of my fav Just Dance Songs and do them in my kitchen lol *
A hr of just dance in the a.m before breakfast ( i have energy in the a.m without eating but if you cant eat breakfast nd wait 30minz) , i walk for 1-2hrs (300-900cal) , Zumba for 30-60min (500-1000cal) & cleaning for is is like 500 nd hour , & biggest loser cardio max burns up to 700cal in a hr . enjoy ! messaqe w| any questions !0 -
I can tell you that having an ovary removed will definitely affect your weight loss efforts as estrogen and other hormones have probably changed. You might want to check with your doctor to see if your hormones are in balance.0

Eat a little less and/or move a little more0

Are you logging your food diligently? Exercising diligently? If so, make your food diary public so we can take a look and give you some pointers. It is hard to help when we cannot see what is wrong.-Jim0

Yeah we need more info other than "I'm not losing weight."
Open up your diary. Talk to us about your exercise. There's no one-size-fits-all answer to everyone's weight problems, we need to know what your circumstances are if you want helpful advice.0 -

Gonna agree with this. That's a major procedure and even after you've passed the recovery/healing period and get the OK to resume your activities, it could have affected you internally. If what you're seeing now is a drastic change to your weight loss before the surgery or before whatever made it necessary to have the surgery, you might consult the doctor about it since they would be able to tell you more than we can and perhaps suggest you to someone who could help you tailor not only a gluten-free diet but an exercise regimen that would benefit you as you are now.0 -
If you had an ovary removed your hormones could be out of whack. Have you discussed your inability to lose weight with your doctor? Hormones play a huge role in wieght loss.0

Thanks guys!
And thanks for the list of foods to eat, but 99% of that has gluten in it LOL! I can NOT eat gluten.0
