How many grams of sugar should I be eating daily?

You should talk to a diabetic nutritionist. If you have Type II your insurance company should cover it. IF not ask your Doctor for some info.

I am Type 1, diagnosed in September. I eat 45-60 grams of carbs/meal and 15-20/snack. Don't measure the sugar, just measure the carbs which the sugar is included in..it makes your life much easier.0

Simple answer - none...this includes carbohydrates. if you count your carbs and stick to less than 50 grams, I bet you will control your blood sugars easily. By the way - if you doc has told you to eat low fat - ignore him...and the ADA advice. just my two cents...0

It would depend on your insulin resistance not a one fit for all. I would agree with the pp regarding taking the class. When I went to mine they did bloodwork and used my height/ weight and insulin resistance to tell me how many carbs per meal to have etc. Wishing you the best of luck and KUP!0
