I started this journey in December. I was orignally 180 pounds when i started. I am in a fantastic relationship and i just got comfortable. Since joining MFP, I am down to 162. But my weight loss has stalled and ims till under on calories everyday and i exercise everyday. I know the scale doesnt really reflect my success but i wish it would move. How do you guys get past this emotional stage where you think you have peaked at your weight loss:(

I increase my calorie intake, work on fitness/strength gains in my workouts, and stop giving the scale so much power.
The scale tells you how much you weigh that day, not who you are or what you are worth.0 -
I always plateau around 160. If I were you I would rev up my workouts. Try more days a week and increase the intensity!
Play around with your caloric intake up and down.0 -
i'll try the calorie thing first. I am very active, i deliver mail for a living then i work out 4 times a week doing an extreme circuit training class much like bootcamp.0

I got to my goal weight and then started gaining my weight back because I was working out much like you I do bootcamp classes and spinning 5 days a week but was not eating enough. Try eating more of your exercise calories back. Do have a HRM watch I reccomend you get one, my guess is that you are burning waaay more calories during work than you think.0

What might help is if you take your measurements. I know it won't help right now, but if you find yourself in this situation again, if you re-take your measurements, you will see how many inches you have lost and sometimes that is more motivation than the scale.

I have a hrm and I was eating back most of my calories that i burned. I love my food! Thats what got me here in the first place:) I am going to try to up my calories to maybe 1600 and see if that does make the scale budge at least a little bit. The inches have changed alot ive lost overall about 8 inches...I do have more of an athletic body shape, not skinny, never will be. I am quite muscular from work and working out...
Just wanted to see if there were any ideas or things that have worked for anyone else! Thanks all for your responses!0 -
